Dry felled Marewhenua Old Man Pine - 3m3 (needs to be seasoned)
Solid Pine that is over 100 years old making it a superior, heavier density wood (comparable to macrocarpa).
Burns hotter and longer
Lights easy, clean burning but with a higher resin content will leave sap deposits in your chimney (we recommend pre and mid winter cleaning). This timber dries fairly quickly, splits well, and is suitable for open fires and enclosed burners.
To season your wood we recommend storing in a covered location with good airflow. Can be stored under the house if stacked directly on dry earth (as this works to draw out any remaining moisture). Will be ready to burn in May.
